St. John’s UCC has two youth groups:
Friends Being Involved (FBI) younger youth group is open to all students in grade 3 through grade 6 and their friends. We meet on the fourth Sunday of every month from 11: 45 am until 1:00 pm. We do a variety of fun activities and service projects.
Pastor Monica leads this group with help from Yvette Willson, Renee Owens and Teresa Hockenberry.
Next Meeting: Sunday, April 22 at 11:45 am in Fellowship Hall
Christians in Action (CIA) youth group is open to students in grade 7 through grade 12 and their friends. We also do a variety of fun activities and service projects including a Pasta Supper Fund Raiser in mid-winter, participate in the World Vision 30 Hour Famine in spring and host a Memorial Day Bake Sale as part of the Boalsburg Memorial Day Celebration. Last July we did a Mission Trip to Providence, RI.
Pastor Monica, Teresa Hockenberry and John Pierce lead this group.
Schedule:
April 28-29: 30 Hour Famine community service work and Lock-in, 9:00 am Saturday until 12:00 pm Sunday.
May 28: Memorial Day Bake Sale to raise money for our Mission Trip, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.
August 3-5: Mission Trip to Philadelphia.
